I made this quilt to mark a dear friend's many years of participation in the Swim for Life across Provincetown Harbor, a fundraiser for AIDS and women's health. Jon's husband has created an art project each year to send as a thank you to donors, and I have saved them all. I scanned each of Chris's pieces and printed them on fabric. Each one is framed with a narrow black border, and pieced into a background that features swirling waves, sailboats and flying birds. It's entirely hand quilted.
